Plan Your Visit

We would love to have you join us this weekend. We meet at 10:10 each Sunday, and we have a kids ministry for children birth-5th grade (Middle school and high school students are encouraged to join their parents in the service). After the service, we have a half hour program of faith and fellowship called After Half, with groups for people of all ages. (See more about After Half here).

Our services offer contemporary music and practical teaching. What is practical? It means that we work hard to help you understand how God, and his Word, can change and influence your life today.

Check out the times and what to expect, and join us this weekend!

What to Expect this Weekend

Where do I park?
You can enter the parking lot from either 5th or 6th Ave. The parking lot is on the west side of the church (towards 5th Ave), but you can also park along the drive in front of the main church entrance, on 5th or 6th Ave, or in the Challand Middle School parking lot (across 6th Ave).

What about my kids?
Our kids ministry is open to kids from birth-5th grade. We have a nursery for kids age birth-2 years. During the service, kids in PreK-5th join us in the sanctuary for the singing portion of the service, then they head down to the Kids’ Wing for Children’s Church – songs, snacks, and various activities. During After Half (the 30 minutes following the service), kids break into 2 classes (PreK-1st and 2nd-5th) for age-appropriate Bible study and learning. You can register your child(ren) ahead of time here.

What’s a service like?
Our worship service lasts about an hour and is full of contemporary music and relevant teaching straight from the Bible. Because we believe it’s important for our children to see adults living out their faith, everyone gets to worship through song together during the first part of the service before kids head down to Children’s Church. Our pastor communicates in a way that is easy for everyone to understand, including those who have little church background, or faith traditions that are different from ours. We serve communion on the first Sunday of each month.

What do I wear?
People dress comfortably and casually, so wear whatever you’d like.

Register your Child(ren) ahead of time!

You can save yourself some time on Sunday morning and let us know you’re coming! During both the service and After Half, nursery is available for kids under 3. Kids through 5th grade will be involved in whole-group activities during church and then smaller group Bible Adventures during After Half. When you get to the church, a greeter can help show you to the check-in station, and your information will be there ready for you to print out a name tag!

Located between Sterling High School and Challand Middle School in Sterling, IL.
