Easter at Open Door

Details: You’re invited to celebrate Easter (and the days leading up to it!) with Open Door Community Church. You’ll find a welcoming atmosphere and a message of hope and new beginnings. Kids will love being here, with special activities designed for just for them!

What to
Expect
Everyone is welcome at Open Door Community Church. We encourage you to come the way that you feel most comfortable. Our Easter service will include hymns, contemporary music and an Easter message. Kids will stay in the service so that families can celebrate Jesus’ resurrection together! Kids will receive a special worship bag designed to help them worship and stay engaged. After the service, we’ll have an Easter Egg hunt on the front lawn!

Find Us
We are located off Miller Road between 5th and 6th Ave. We’re surrounded by Challand Middle School, Sterling High School, and Whiteside Area Career Center. Our address is 1705 6th Ave in Sterling, IL, 61081.
Free parking is available on the 5th Avenue side of the building or along either 5th or 6th Avenues.
Join us Online
Can’t join us in person? Our Easter service will be livestreamed starting at 10:10 am and available on-demand after 11:30 am.
Community Services
Leading up to our Easter service, we invite you to some community services, where we join with other churches in our community to celebrate and remember.

Details: In conjunction with New Life Lutheran Church, Bethel Reformed Church, and Science Ridge Mennonite Church, we invite you to join us in remembering the death of Jesus. Childcare will not be provided, but children are welcome to worship with their parents.

Location: The Big Red Church (311 2nd Ave, Sterling, IL 61081)
Details: In conjunction with The Big Red Church and Macedonia Baptist Church, join us at sunrise for a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus! After the service, we’ll enjoy breakfast together! Childcare will not be provided, and children are encouraged to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with us!
